Hello from Brushfire Stankgrass! It's hard to believe, but our summer tour is winding down. We have had a fantastic summer of music, and we are happy to say that we still have scheduled a few fall dates to keep our fans happy and the music tight. It has been our busiest year so far with dates at the Orange Peel, French Broad River Fest, Rockin River Festival, and some great Asheville gigs including two nights of Bele Chere (Stank Chere) at some of our favorite venues. We have had some extra special guests join us this year including 92 year old Frank Buchanan (former member of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass boys) and most recently an intrepid young fiddle player named Matt Williams. We have some great shows coming up including Halloween at the French Broad Brewery, a Jack of the Wood date in 2010, and some shows lined up at the ever popular Pisgah Brewery.
Our live/studio album is currently being mixed and mastered after a long wait and we look forward to that hitting the airwaves soon. We have some new merchandise available with a really stanky new t-shirt design from our resident genius artist, Al Sacui.
We have been experiencing a good bit of creativity in the band lately with some great new compositions coming out, so come on out and hear a Stankgrass show soon!
